Highlights of Morocco (from Tanger to Marrakech).

We start our tour in this beautiful country from Casablanca which is the economic capital of Morocco, and we finish  in one of the best destination of tourism in the world : Marrakech.

During the trip we visit four imperial cities of Morocco which are Fez, Meknes, Rabat and Marrakech. We visit also the blue city (Chefchaouen) and some other small cities where we can have a contact with locals, and share a meal or a cup of tea with a local family. In Casablanca, we start by visiting one of the beautiful and well achieved mosque in the world, before we drive for about one hour to the administrative capital of Morocco.


Program of the trip,

-Day 1: Your arrival to Casablanca (meeting with your local guide in the hotel).

-Day 2: Visit of Hassan II mosque, and drive to Rabat the capital of Morocco (visit of the Kasbah des Oudayas, Hassan tour and Med V mausoleum and continuation to explore a fortified city on the Atlantic coast: Asilah, one night in a 3*hotel.

-Day 3: Drive to Tanger, Tetouan and then to Chefchaouen in the Rif mountain, included visit of the medina including a Kasbah dated back to 15 century. Possibility to enjoy a sun set from a top of the hill.

Day 4: Free morning in Chefchaouen, before we continue to the south and we leave the Rif Mountains to the capital of Mauritania Tingitana during the roman occupation of north-Africa: Volubilis, (Hotel in Meknes One night)

Day 5: Included visit of the medina of Meknes, we start by a panoramic view over the old section, then few stops to enjoy the beautiful architecture of some gates of the medina, before we cross the mellah (Jewish quarter) to explore Heri Souani: The granary and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the afternoon we drive to the oldest Medina in Morocco which is Fez. (1st night in the hotel).

Program of the trip,

Day 6: Included visit of the medina, it takes usually a hole day. Following your local guide you explore mosaic section, tanneries, handicrafts sections squares, mosques madrasas (Koranic schools) and shrines.(2nd night in the hotel).

Day7: Today we continue to the south across the middle-Atlas Mountains, we stop in few small towns to enjoy the beautiful of landscapes; we walk for about 2 hours in the north side of djebel Ayachi before we reach our hotel in Midelt. (One night)

Day 8: Along the Ziz valley we drive to Arfoud the town of dates and fossils. Then we continue to Erg Echebbi to a small auberge where we leave our big bags and ride camels to our camp in between the dunes. (One night in the camp).

Program of the trip,

-Day 9: Today we drive for more than 6 hours to rose’s valley, on the way we visit Todgha gorges and elkhorbat museum. (One night in Berber house in the valley).

Day 10: we start our journey by a short walk for about one hour in the valley, then we drive to kelaa Mgouna where a festival of roses is celebrated in the first week of every year. We visit the beautiful Kasbah of Amerdil and we explore Ouarzazete (one night in Ait Benhaddou.

Day 11: Visit of the Ksar (fortified village), and drive across the high-Atlas mountain by Tichka pass(2260m) to Imlil. (one night in a beautiful guesthouse).

Day 12: Included activity in the mountains (half day walk to Sidi Chamharouch shrine) and transfer to the beautiful city by the Atlantic-coast (Essaouira).

Day 13: included visit of Essaouira medina.

Day 14 : Transfer to Marrakech.

Day 15 : Departure day
